I am sitting at the airport in Phoenix, I have no idea what it’s called, and it doesn’t really matter. The flight from chicago was depressing. I couldn’t sleep and thoughts of this passed week raced through my head. It would be nice to move back to that area to be around family and be able to start new.
My flight to LA, then to Oakland doesn’t leave for another hour so I took a walk outside and oh my god, 106 degrees in the desert is HOT.
I am looking through the window by Gate D8 and its a pretty cool view of some mountains and the planes landing in front of them. I also feel really out of place, I am in jeans and everyone else here is in shorts. A lady walked by in a bikini top earlier. I guess people around here do that. Ha.
Well let’s hope the flight from here to LA, to Oakland is better. I have a few drink tickets left I am dying to use. A glass of wine, or a beer is in order. In fact there is a pub to my left I might go visit.
My week in Chicago has come to an end. And what a week it’s been.
I spent my time visiting my cousins who I haven’t seen in years, since the passing of my grandfather. I walked in the house with a warm welcome from Sarah and Lauren. The hugs were never ending.
We began the week with hanging out, exchanging memories and filling eachother in with what was new in life. The days went slow which was exactly what I was hoping for. I needed as much time away from home as I could.
Right now I am sitting in a crowded gate awaiting my plane to arrive at Midway Airport. It’s depressing knowing I have to leave. It’s harder as I type this and recap the last wek.
During the week the only thing we could look forward too was the two hour drive to my cousin’s lakehouse on Diamond Lake, Michigan. To pass the time, Lauren and I saw transformers late at night. I enjoyed the action the movie provided, but the story made it hard to keep interested.
As the weekend grew closer, we spent time together, relaxing and just having a good time. When Saturday rolled around, we woke up at 5 in the morning to pack for the lakehouse. Two hours later I was asleep in the car for the drive up.
It would take much too long to write what happened at the lakhouse, how much fun we had. Some of the best two days of my life. I can do a small recap of it all though.
With an arrival of a new boat, we spent most of our time out on the lake enjoying the sun and tubing. I also recieved the worsted sunburns I have ever got. Well worth it though.
Lauren brought a guy friend, which was nice. Being stuck with all girls would of driven me crazy. Justin and I like to push things to the limit. This inculded tellin my uncle to go faster while dragging us on the tub, and making homemade water skis that failed epically (spelling?).
All in all, like I said, best two days of my life. The funny sounding lady on the intercom just called my flight to begin boarding, so I’m off. Let’s hope this flight goes better than the first two here. I know I will be sleeping most of the way since when Lauren and I have sleep overs.. She’s the only one that sleeps. She hogs the bed.
I started the plane ride from Arizona to chicago a little tipsy after the two bottles of wine I was given for my birthday.
With a much better neighbor as a passanger we talked about the beauties of chicago and told her about San Francisco and bodega bay. Two favorite spots.
We have a male flight attendent on board that perfectly describes what you might picture a male flight attendent being. I think he might he gay, but not sure. Either way he is a reall nice guy. He figured out it was my birthday and tried to get ms to drink more wine. Offering me it everytime he walked by. I’m already way passed tipsy so I keep having to pass.
The flight to Chicago has been a good one. I still have an hour or so left until we arrive at Midway. I’m excited to start this week of vacation.
I just left LAX in Los Angeles. I was unaware the my flight took me to LA, then to somewhere in Arizona then finally arriving in Chicago.
I sat in the very first seat by the cockpit. I had leg room and no one sitting next to me. I passed out within minutes only to be woken up an hour later my a flight attendant.
Now I am mid flight sitting next to a lady who is way to into the farm land below, bending over me to get a view. I can’t take it. My biggest pet peeve is those I don’t allow to be in my bubble.
I just got a bottle of wine too. This flight needs to end soon
Yesterday, the 22nd was my 21st birthday. I had no intentions or doing anything epic. I just wanted to buy beer and layout in the sun. Which is exactly what I did. The whole day was just very relaxing.
I am now sitting in a very uncomfortable leather seat at gate 30 in the Oakland airport. I am off to Chicago to give myself a much needed vacation. I will be seeing some family whi h will be really nice, but I am just looking forward to escaping the hectic life I seem to think I live. Not having a day off from work for the passed 3 weeks has put a major toll on my insanity.
This vacation couldn’t of come at a better time. The 7 hour flight though I could do without.
